Sunny Days at Austin City Limits

For each of three days, September 26-28, some 65,000 people descended upon Zilker Park in Austin, Texas for the annual Austin City Limits. This music fest showcased a wide range of music: rock--including folk-rock, Brit-rock, pop, and classic rock--blues, worldbeat, dance, reggae, and gospel. With four main stages of music, and a few side stages, the fest featured dozens of bands from around the country and a few international ones. Some classic artists performed as well, showcasing their new material but throwing in some beloved oldies: David Byrne of Talking Heads fame; John Fogerty of CCR; and Robert Plant doing some retooled Led Zeppelin with bluegrass queen Allison Krauss.

Brief impressions on some of the bands coming soon.
